Wine Farms, hotels and guesthouses.
The Swartland Winelands provide travellers to The Cape Town
Wine Region with a variety of views and scenes. Endless
Wheat fields, vineyards and wine farms producing
some of the best wine from South Africa. Included
in these breathtaking pictures are fruit farms, protea farms and
pastures, rounding off the breathtaking scenery offered by the well-known
Swartland Winelands. Unfortunately not a part of our Cape
Town Wine tours, but a sure stop should you be traveling
within that area.
Some
of the Swartland Vineyards were planted in the early 1800's and
linked with the Swartland Wine Route in 1986. This
offered a huge step forward for the Cape Town Tourism
and hotels industry, especially due to the fact
that the Swartland Winelands are a quick 40 minutes drive fom Cape
Town.
The
Route is accessible from most directions and links up with the Crayfish
Route on the West Coast of South Africa quite easily. Here one can
find a variety of marine life, nature reserves, hotels
and colourful villages known for it's fishing and trawlers.
Excellent
roads join the numerous farms and regions, and well placed sign
posts will direct you to exactly where you need to go, including
the wine regions.
Allesverloren
