Almost
8000 hectares of a rich selection of flowers, baboons and Zebras
and not to mention the abundant birdlife at Cape Point.
High,
untouched cliffs more than 200 metres above ocean level hiding deep
in the deep waters offer an incredible wallpaper for the Park. Cape
Point is located in the south region of Table Mountain
Park. The natural fynbos vegetation is included in the world's floral
kingdoms.
In the mid 1800's the first lighthouse was erected and today it
still towers at 249 metres above sea-level on the tallest cliff
of the mountain and it's now mostly used as the monitoring beacon
for lighthouses along the shores of South Africa..
The
funicular at Cape Point taking you up to the lighthouse is wheelchair
friendly and all ages are welcome. The funicular is not included
in the rate of our Cape Point Tours and will be
for the clients own account. Most of our Cape Town tours are family
and disabled friendly. It is important however to notify us of this
when making a booking.
It
doesn't matter if you are a returning tourist or if it is your first
time seeing Cape Town and Cape Point, Cape Team Tours will ensure
you see and experience things the way they are with stories that
must be shared. Our guides are filled with detailed information
about Cape Town, Cape Point, her secrets and her
mysteries.
